Police have arrested a 54 year old male in connection with the discovery of one 12-gauge shotgun and six matching bullets just around 18:40 hours on Monday at Crabwood Creek, Corentyne Berbice
Police in a statement said ranks in the division acted on the information given and went to the suspect’s home and conducted a search. During the search of the lower flat of the building, the ranks found a black tire tube between several pieces of clothing which, when opened, contained three components of a 12 gauge shotgun.
Further searches were done, and a plastic bag containing six(6) shotgun cartridges suspected were found. The suspect was told of the offences committed, cautioned and arrested.
The suspected firearm and ammunition were marked, sealed and lodged at the Springlands Police Station.
