One man who was severely chopped about his body lost the battle for his life at a private hospital this morning while he was being treated for his wounds.
Although details are sketchy at this time, the man is said to have been rushed to the private medical facility after sustaining a number of chop wounds to his body, allegedly after a heated argument with someone.
It is said that he hailed from a village along the East Bank of Essequibo. Police are currently investigating the incident.
