56 year old Derrick Baker of Warren Village, Corentyne Berbice is now hospitalized after he was allegedly wounded by his 52 year old brother on Wednesday evening
According to police, Derrick Baker was at his home when his brother visited, but he told him that he cannot enter the yard.
His brother reportedly became annoyed, left and returned with a cutlass. He approached Derrick who was standing on the road and dealt him several chops about his body causing him to receive injuries to his left foot, face and chest.
The victim was escorted to the New Amsterdam Public Hospital where he is presently receiving treatment.
The suspect (brother) was later arrested, the cutlass retrieved and he was escorted to the Central Police Station where he was placed into custody.
