MAN FOUND DEAD IN RESERVOIR

The Guyana Police Force and CJIAC officials are investigating the death of an employee of the CJIA, whose body was found in a reservoir behind the airport at around 13.30 hrs yesterday. A release from the GPF stated that Chris Jacob, 26, of Hauraruni Village, Linden Soesdyke Highway, was discovered in the reservoir after reportedly being involved in an altercation. He had apparently drowned.
The discovery came after repeated searches for the now dead man. He was identified and the body was removed under supervision of the Police, according to information emanating from the GPF. The relatives of the man have been contacted and are assisting in the investigations.
The man had been working in the maintenance department at CJIA for several years and before he was discovered dead there was a party in that division.
