Man remanded for murder of Stabroek vendor

Kimbia James Prescod, a 46-year-old vendor of Laing Avenue, East Ruimveldt, Georgetown, was remanded to prison by Chief Magistrates Ann Mc Clennon after being accused of stabbing death Robert Bizzeth,35 of Cane View Avenue, South Ruimveldt Gardens, Georgetown at Stabroek market last Tuesday.


The charge laid against him states that on Tuesday 22 and 2021, at Stabroek Georgetown, Prescod murdered Robert Bizzeth.


Bizzette and Prescod on the day in question, had an argument over the placement of
Bizzette’s stall during which he pulled out a jucker and threatened Prescod.


The argument escalated and Bizzette armed himself with an axe and chased Prescod, who was also armed with a knife. Prescod then fell to the ground and Bizzette walked away. As Bizzette was walking away Prescod got up and stabbed him multiple times.


Drenched in his own blood, Bizzeth ran to the police mobile outpost, where he collapsed and was immediately rushed to the GPHC, where he succumbed while receiving treatment. Prescod was later arrested.
