Man robbed of car and valuables on Leopold Street.

Police are investigating an armed robbery of a man at Leopold Street, Georgetown on Thursday at around 01:10hrs by two men, one armed with a gun and the other with a knife.

According to reports, the man was allegedly robbed of his silver Toyota Fielder wagon motorcar PZZ 7156 valued $2.8M, one iPhone 7, valued $80,000, one silver chain valued $45,000 and one silver band valued $28,000.

Police investigations revealed that a 46 year old man was driving west along Leopold Street when he saw a white Mazda car parked in the middle of the street, facing east which prevented him from proceeding further.

It was reported that two suspects exited the back passenger seat of the Mazda and approached the victim who was seated in his car. One of them pointed a gun at the man’s head and demanded that he exit the car. Another suspect, who was armed with a knife, began to search the man’s pockets and relieved him of his cellphone and the jewellery he was wearing.
