The Body of the 49 year old man who stabbed his girlfriend to death on Sunday was discovered at the Conservancy in Canal No.1, West Bank Demerara on Monday.
Police report claims that the suspect, Onkar Singh escaped after beating and stabbing his girlfriend Omela Singh at her Parfaite Harmony, West Bank Demerara home. The woman later succumbed to her injuries On Monday at around 19:45 hrs while receiving treatment at the Georgetown Public Hospital.
Police reports state that Singh visited the woman at her house after which an argument ensued; the argument escalated and the man stabbed the woman several times causing the knife to be lodged in her stomach.
