The Mashramani Committee is adamant that several issues which affected the smooth planning of the event in the past will not plague the system this year. Javone Vickerie Reports.
Mash Coordinator Andrew Tyndall said that the Mashramani Committee recognized that there were some issues that arose during and after the staging of the 2018 Mash festivities.
Mr. Tyndall explained that among those recognizable issues were media relations, communication and the late payment to designers. He stated that during a recent meeting with those in the arts sector, this issue was raised. In responding to a question from this newscast, Tyndall had this to say about how different the situation was handled this year.
Another glaring trend in the Mashramani festivities is the decrease in participation by private sector entities. Mr. Tyndal stated that while there has been continued support from several companies, others have shown no interest.
The Mash coordinator explained that the promotion of local music coming out of several competitions has also been a challenge. This is how the committee plans to fix the issue
