Georgetown Mayor Alfred Mentore has responded sharply to Bharrat Jagdeo, General Secretary of the People’s Progressive Party, for rejecting his proposal to re-evaluate properties in an effort to boost the City Council’s revenue base.
Mentore insists that the proposal is necessary to ensure that the Council can better meet its financial obligations and improve services to Georgetown residents.
