The Ministry of Human Services and Social Security brought the curtain down on its highly anticipated “WE LIFT” 5 Exhibition on Sunday, celebrating the success and empowerment of over 350 women entrepreneurs from across the country.

Held under the theme “Women Entrepreneurs – Leading, Innovating, Flourishing Together,” the event showcased a wide range of small and medium-sized businesses led by women—featuring everything from fashion and skincare to agro-processing and creative arts.

According to Human Services Minister Dr. Vindhya Persaud, the exhibition continues to serve as a critical platform for women to gain exposure, access markets, and network with potential partners and consumers.

“WE LIFT isn’t just an exhibition—it’s a movement. We’re showing the country and the world that Guyanese women are creating, leading, and driving economic change,” the Minister stated.

Attendees flocked to the venue to support the vendors, many of whom were participating for the first time. The event also featured live performances, panel discussions, and business development support for aspiring and emerging entrepreneurs.

This year’s edition marked the fifth installment of the WE LIFT initiative, a flagship program aimed at lifting women out of economic hardship and into business success through innovation and resilience.
