Ministry collaborates with Massy for Women’s Grocery Voucher Programme

The Ministry of Human Services and Social Security has collaborated with the Massy Group on the Women’s Grocery Voucher Programme.

Under this initiative, Domestic Violence Survivors will receive a Massy Grocery voucher valued at $15,000.

These vouchers are redeemable at any of the 5 Massy Stores locations: Turkeyen, Providence, Montrose, Vreed en Hoop and Ruimveldt.

Massy is the first company to come onboard for this initiative.

Hon Dr Vindhya Persaud stated that these vouchers will help survivors to procure basic needs when they leave.

During her remarks at the launch ceremony this morning, Minister Persaud said, “I have always been an advocate for helping people from a state of dependence to independence- and this is one initiative that will have that tangible effect.”

Minister Persaud added, “I want to tell those living in some domestic violence situation, we are here for you.”

If you or someone you know is experiencing any form of violence, call the toll free hotline 9-1-4 to report it and get help.
