A fire claimed the lives of three children on Thursday morning. The children ages eight, six and one were reportedly trapped in a blaze in their Barnwell North Backdam home, which is located behind Mocha on the East Bank of Demerara (EBD).
The fire reportedly began around 01:25 hrs.
According to reports, the mother of the children was not at home at the time of the deadly fire. The children were reportedly left home alone last evening.
An investigation is ongoing as authorities search for the cause of the fire.
