Motorcyclist succumbs three days after accident at Plaisance

Ronaldo Sauldrepaul, a 29-year-old Security Officer succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday evening at a city hospital, three days after he was involved in an accident.

It was reported that Saul-Drepaul was unconscious and died at around 20:00hrs on Tuesday.

In Saturday last, according to police report, at about 18:55 hrs on the Plaisance Public Road, East Coast Demerara motor car #PPP 6446 that was being driven by 39-year-old Jai Kissoon drove out of Prince William Street onto the road and into the path of the motorcycle #Cl 902 which is owned and was driven at the time by Ronaldo Sauldrepaul.

As a result, there was a collision which caused the motorcyclist to fall unto the road surface where he received injuries about his body. He was then assisted by public spirited citizens and taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital’s Accident and Emergency Unit and further transported to Woodlands Hospital to seek medical attention.

The Police who visited the hospital reported that he saw the motorcyclist unconscious and receiving medical attention from on duty medical personnel.

Kissoon- the driver of the car is said to be out on $300,000 station bail.
