Negligent motorcyclist causes 4 vehicle smash up

A motorcyclist who failed to stop at an intersection caused a 4 vehicle accident at Albert and Croal Streets Georgetown.

Reports indicate that on Monday, while motorcyclist Victor Logan was proceeding on Albert Street approaching Croal Street, he failed to stop at the intersection resulting in a collision between a Hire car and himself.

Logan flipped several times before falling to the ground. Additionally, the driver of the Hire car Dawane Sobers then lost control of his vehicle and collided with two other stationary vehicles on Croal Street.

The cyclist along with three passengers of the Hire car were taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital, where the passengers left without being examined by a doctor, while Logan has been admitted for a fractured left hip and abrasions about his body.

Notice of Intended Prosecution served on the driver of hire car # HC 7448 after a breathalyzer test conducted showed 0.00% BAC in his breath. Further investigations are ongoing.
