In the coming weeks, the pockets of persons with disabilities and those who rely on public assistance will be a bit fuller, compliments of the government’s one-off $25,000 grant. While lauding the initiative, Programme Coordinator of the Guyana Society for the Blind- Ganesh Singh, in the same breath, called on the government to consider increasing their public assistance.
