Only between 25%-30% of persons living with disabilities who were part of skills training initiatives over the last four years have been able to find employment. Although there are several factors that contribute to this reality, including discrimination, the Guyana Council of Organizations for Persons with Disabilities is ramping up efforts to ensure that its members hone their skills in order to be gainfully employed.
