During a one year period more than one hundred and fifty calls were made to the police’s suicide prevention hotline. Acting commissioner of police David Ramnarine says that immeasurable assistance from other agencies has helped to save the lives of those who needed help. Javone Vickerie reports.
The Ministry of Human Services has announced that its 914 hotlines had received 197 calls since its launch three months ago. Of these, 40 were domestic violence complaints filed by men. Kendell Richmond reports
