Despite reports coming out of the Department of Citizenship that
2,943 Venezuelan migrants are located in the Barima Waini region,
regional chairman Brentnol Ashley disagrees with those figures.
The Region One chairman mentioned that more than 4000 refugees are
located within the region and is calling on the Government to have
better documentation systems in place for the Venezuelans.
