Against the backdrop of the recent upsurge in COVID-19 related deaths in school-aged children, the Guyana Teachers Union is again reiterating its call for the education minister to temporarily close schools. Questioning when will enough be enough the union’s President Mark Lyte related on Friday that close to 700 students and teachers have tested positive for the virus in the last three since schools reopened .
