PEPSI HIKERS HIKED THEIR SCORES AGAINST SUPERNOVA

 PEPSI Hikers hiked their scores against Supernova in a Hockey championship over the weekend. Samuel Gillis Reports.

Eight teams met in a quest to win the male and female Farfan & Mendes first division league and Woodpecker Ladies First Division League at St Stanislaus College ground.

A penalty corner strike from Samuel Woodroffe, got things on the way for Supernova and marked the first goal of the league. They came up against defending champions PEPSI Hikers. PEPSI Hikers then reminded the fans why they are so respected when Aroydy Branford scored a hat-trick of goals, after which Andrew Stewart put the “icing on the cake” with his goal to finish the first half.  

Branford banged 3 more goals in the second half, Jamarj Assanah then added his one which brought up the victory for Hikers winning 8-1.  

The fans had more to enjoy when Bounty GCC met with Vintage. Bounty legged 14 goals that totally mesmerized GCC Vintage who scored 2 goals.  Saints then defeated old fort 2-0 

The games which continued on Sunday saw Vintage suffering in a face-off with PEPSI Hikers, Hikers spiked 9 goals of the 10 scored in the match. Bounty GCC played in like fashion against Saints defeating them; and Old Fort got new energy and drew the game with Supernova 1 all. 

The women came out with estrogen flowing, GBTI GCC sent Bingo Spartans heads bent with a 5-1 victory.  Every Saturday and Sunday until May 20thHockey matches will be played at St Stanislaus College ground.
