Police are probing an alleged suicide by Juneann DeAbru, a 36-year-old pharmacist of Lot 49 Nelson Street, Mocha, East Bank Demerara (EBD).
Police reported that the incident occurred at about 15:20h on Sunday at DeAbru’s Mocha home, where she resided with her 15-year-old son.
According to the Police, the teen went to his bedroom to do his schoolwork but went to inform his mother that there was no ink in the printer when he discovered her motionless body in front of her bedroom.
The teen raised an alarm, and persons in the area rushed to offer assistance. The Police were also contacted.
The woman was pronounced dead by an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) from the Eccles Fire Station. The body was taken to the Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, awaiting a post-mortem examination (PME).
