A post-mortem examination (PME) on the body of homicide victim, 23-year-old Delroy Anthony Mckenzie, revealed that he sustained a total of nine gunshot wounds.

McKenzie, a resident of Roxanne Burnham Gardens, Georgetown, was gunned down on Saturday night, at around 9:50 p.m., at Sunflower Street, Wismar in Linden, during a drive-by shooting, according to police.

His friend, Calvin Daly, sustained gunshot wounds on the left and right lower arm with abrasions to both of his arms.

The PME was performed by Dr. Nehaul Singh at the Memorial Gardens Mortuary on Monday, July 19, 2021 in the presence of the police and relatives of the deceased, according to a police press release.

The doctor said two metal fragments were retrieved from the deceased’s head and back.

The body has since been handed over to the family for funeral arrangements, the release said.
