The Peoples’ National Congress Reform has moved to the court to challenge the constitutionality of the NATURAL RESOURCE FUND BILL passed in the National Assembly in December. Should the court’s judgment favour the opposition’s contention in relation to the illegality of the act, the opposition will seek to have actions carried out by the subject minister or the Natural Resource Fund Board declared null and void. This means that monies already extracted from the Natural Resource Fund will have to be returned and the fund reconstituted. More details from Temika Rodney.
