During an intelligence-led operation at Zion, Berbice River three fields of marijuana (40 acres of land) were destroyed by ranks from Police Headquarters and from Regional Division #10 on Friday.
Police Headquarters revealed that the estimated street value for the suspected cannabis plants and dried cannabis was $115.8 million.
55,000 cannabis plants ranging from 1 foot to 10 feet in height, about 60 pounds of dried cannabis, six (6) nurseries, and five (5) camps were discovered and destroyed by way of fire on Friday, February 11th, 2022, between 05:20 hrs & 18:07 hrs.
No arrest was made.
