A search carried out on a 43-year-old miner on Sunday in Werk-en-Rust, Georgetown, unearthed a brown .38 Smith and Wesson revolver along with two (2) live matching rounds of ammunitions.
According to Police Headquarters, acting on information they arrived at the man’s home on Sunday around 3:20hours. Upon spotting the police, the miner who was observed standing infront of the house tried to escape.
“The police gave chase and the suspect was apprehended. A search was carried out on his person and a brown .38 Smith and Wesson revolver along with two (2) live matching rounds of ammunitions were found in his left side pants waist.” the statement noted.
The man was cautioned and arrested. He was escorted to Brickdam Police Station.
