POLICE LAUNCHED CHRISTMAS POLICING PLAN 2018

This year’s Christmas Policing Presentation will be chartering a different
course this year, and if all goes as plan, it might be impossible for thieves to
cash in on the opportunities that present its self during period of the year.
According to Deputy Commissioner and Crime Chief Lyndon Alves, heavy
patrolling, increased surveillance and intelligence-driven operations will be
initiated to guard against petty to major crimes before and after the Christmas
season.
He encouraged businesses and citizens to use emergency hotlines to report
any suspicious activity in or around the busy town.

Avoid moving around with large amounts of cash. Crime Chief Lyndon Alves warned

business owners to minimize the amount of cash they may move around with, as the
Guyana Police Force launched its Christmas Policing Posture. Javone Vickerie reports.
