Deryc “Mad Dog” Jaisingh, a former popular drag racer, is the latest fatality due to the deadly coronavirus bringing the country’s total number of deaths to five.
HGP understands that Jaisingh’s condition appeared to have been improving a few days ago but suddenly worsened. He was then taken to the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit where he succumbed as doctors battled to save his life.
Minister of Public Health, Hon. Volda Lawrence today reiterated the importance to adhere to all measures outlined by the Ministry in order to flatten the curve.
Guyana now records a total of 31 confirmed cases whilst 8 persons have recovered.
