For decades, the village of plastic city has been a dilapidated squatting
settlement located on the West Bank of Demerara. However, President David Granger has assured the residents of Region three that should his administration be victorious at this year’s election, he will create a National Squatter Resettlement Commission which will of eradicate slums and informal settlements across Guyana.
