A prisoner attached to the Springlands Police Station is now a patient at the Skeldon Public Hospital under guard after he allegedly ingested a poisonous substance.
The male prisoner who is in custody for a rape matter complained about 1:00hrs on Tuesday morning of feeling unwell and having stomach pains. He then admitted to taking the alleged substance on Monday. He remains under observation at the said medical institution.
