It has been touted as the national Christmas tree, and standing at about 70 feet tall; it illuminates the entrance to Georgetown. On Sunday, the Christmas spirit was ushered in at Rahaman’s Park when the gigantic tree was officially lit. Nightly News’ Antonio Dey was there and filed this report.
