61-year-old Mark Yaw, a security guard is now dead following a suspected suicide on Monday morning.
According to reports, around 10:30hrs at a hotel at Cummings and Robb Streets, Georgetown, Yaw was found sitting on a chair breathing heavily in the hotel’s office by the manager of the hotel.
The manager reportedly asked the now deceased man if he was okay and he responded by saying “suicide”, as he attempted to stand up. He then fell to the ground before the manager and her husband attempted to assist him to walk. They then contacted 911.
Shortly after the ambulance arrived, and the victim was found to be unresponsive. He was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead by Dr. Etwaru.
No marks of violence were seen on the body of the deceased.
Investigation ongoing.
