President Irfaan Ali has announced plans to establish a Small and Medium-sized Enterprise (SME) Development Fund to create significant co-investment opportunities across various sectors in Guyana.
According to President Ali, the initiative seeks to support SMEs by providing easier access to capital, fostering innovation, and driving sustainable economic growth through strategic partnerships between the government and private investors.
“This fund will not only empower small businesses but also attract crucial investments, creating jobs and strengthening our economy,” President Ali emphasized.
He added that this new fund underscores his administration’s continued commitment to supporting entrepreneurship and ensuring small and medium-sized businesses play a pivotal role in Guyana’s ongoing economic transformation.
