- At least 7 persons killed in attack.
Two suicide attacks in Kabul killed at least seven people today, the latest in a wave of violence, as NATO are preparing to withdraw. The attacks targeted a bus carrying Afghan troops in the city’s suburbs in the morning, and a theatre performance at the Istiqlal High School, which is attached to Kabul’s long-established French cultural centre, late in the afternoon.
Eyewitness claim the suicide bomber committed the dastardly act in an audience at the High School. Senior Kabul police official, General Farid Afzali, confirmed that at least 7 persons were wounded in the attack and added that the bomber is thought to have been a teenager. Afzali and the interior ministry said one foreign national was killed, without giving further details.
