Another teenager was arraigned before the courts for allegedly stealing a quantity of cash from two victims in separate incidents. Here are the details from Javone Vickerie within the courts.
19-year-old Delson Phillips of Pork Kaituma was on Wednesday arraigned before the Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan for allegedly committing robbery with violence and break and enter charges. It is alleged that on November 20 at Port Kaituma, in cohoot of others, he robbed Ricardo Robero of $60,000 cash; at the time of, before or after used personal violence against him. The case of the police further alleged that on December 8 at Fitsburg Port Kaituma, Phillips broke and entered the dwelling house of Simeon McDoom and stole a cellphone and other items amounting to $29,800. Phillips was not required to plea to the indictable charges and requested that his matters be tried in the High Court. Police Prosecutor Gordon Mansfield told the court that another suspect was charged for the same offences. Mansfield had no objection to bail. He told the court that none of the items were recovered. Phillips was placed $10,000 bail on each charge with the condition that he report to the port Kaituma police station every other Friday until completion of the trial. The matter is transferred to the Matthews Ridge Magistrates Court on February 5 for reports.
