A teenage mom along with her baby are currently battling for their lives at a hospital after the young mother allegedly consumed a poisonous substance then fed the same to her child.
According to a brief statement from the Guyana Police Force (GPF), the incident occurred around 19:30h on Monday (yesterday) in Region Three (Essequibo Islands- West Demerara).
“They were both rushed to a medical facility after they were both seen vomiting. Both survivors are currently receiving medical treatment under supervision.”
Investigations continue.
