An 18-year-old gold miner is now battling for his life after being chopped several times about his body by three (3) male suspects at Five Star Landing, North West District (NWD), Region One (Barima-Waini).
The injured youth, identified as Gregory Henry of Return, Baramita, NWD, was allegedly chopped on Friday at the above-mentioned location.
Reports are that around 10:30h, he was rushed to the Port Kaituma Hospital by public spirited persons.
He was seen and examined by a doctor on duty and later referred to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation for further medical attention.
His condition is listed as serious but stable.
Investigations are continuing.
