THAG CALLS FOR HALT TO WILDLIFE TRADE AND COMMERCIAL SALE OF WILDMEAT

The Tourism and Hospitality Association of Guyana is reinforcing its call for the enforcement of legislation regarding the commercial use of wild meat since it has the potential of significantly hampering the Country’s Tourism industry. Colwyn Abrams spoke with the President of the Association Tuesday.

  1. Absolute nonsense! What is needed is management and conservation of wildlife in commercial sale of wild meat. Commercial sale of wild meat is no different than the sale of beef, pork or chicken. There should be that thing called common sense when making such outrageous public demands. Sections of our indigenous communities depends on wildlife trade to sustain their way of life.
