Three persons were arrested on Wednesday by ranks of the Customs Anti Narcotic Unit (CANU) after an operation on their premises at Tabatinga, Lethem, netted 3.4 kilograms of marijuana.
HGP Nightly News understands that during the search of the premises, two parcels of suspected cannabis were concealed in a bucket.
As a result, the three persons were escorted to CANU’s Lethem Office, along with the suspected cannabis, which tested positive for cannabis. It had a street value of approximately $1 million. Investigations are ongoing.
