Two males, ages 43 and 18, were on Tuesday arrested in Paradise, East Coast Demerara (ECD) after police discovered five cannabis plants and 950 grams of cannabis during an operation.
According to a police press release, “Earlier today an intelligence-led operation in Paradise, ECD, a cordon and search led to the discovery of cultivated narcotics and the apprehension of two suspects.
“The cultivated prohibited narcotic was found along with 449 transparent plastic bags and one black plastic bag containing a quantity of leaves, seeds and stems suspected to be cannabis.
“All the suspected drugs were seized along with a motorcycle.
“The five cultivated prohibited plants measured between 6-14 inches and the seeds, leaves and stems were weighed and amounted to 950 grams.
“The suspects were escorted to Cove and John Police Station and placed in custody.
“Investigation continues.”
