On Wednesday, ranks of Regional Police Division Two, while on mobile patrol, arrested two men for possession of narcotics in Henrietta and Affiance communities, respectively.
Imtiyaz Solomon, a 49-year-old, was arrested with 11.9 grams of cannabis after the Police searched his person and found a transparent plastic bag in his trousers pocket.
Solomon told the Police he had “just bought (the marijuana) to smoke.”
In Henrietta, Alex Simon, a 52-year-old Gold Miner, was arrested after a search was conducted on his person by the ranks, and a transparent plastic was found in his trousers pocket with seven grams of cannabis.
Solomon and Simon are both in Police custody pending charges.
