As part of its Law Week celebrations, the University of Guyana’s Law Society hosted a lively and thought-provoking impromptu speech competition. The competition brought together budding legal minds from The Bishops’ High School and UG’s own law students.
Participants were challenged to think on their feet, tackle complex legal and social topics, and deliver compelling arguments with little time to prepare.
In the end, Kissean Skeete, Dellon Willis, and Raheem Williams walked away with top honors, impressing the judges with their eloquence, clarity, and confidence under pressure.
The event highlighted the importance of critical thinking and public speaking in the legal profession while fostering mentorship and collaboration between secondary and tertiary-level students.
