Government Pathologist Dr. Nehaul Singh on Wednesday conducted a Post Morteum on the body of 32-year-old Venezuelan Ilan Antonio Singh. Police are still investigating the suspected murder of the hot dog vendor, whose body was found on August 1, in an alleyway behind SleepInn Hotel on Church Street.
According to a police report, a SleepIn Hotel maintenance worker discovered the man’s body in the alleyway around 6 am on Sunday while on duty. The report stated that the alleyway is used by the hotel for packing garbage.
The examination with dissection was conducted at Memorial Gardens where the body was identified by his brother and aunt in the police presence.
The pathologist gave the cause of death as blunt trauma to the head and strangulation after which the body was handed over to relatives for burial
