A 29-year-old man is now dead after he was approached and stabbed by a man on the 19th of February around 21:50hrs at the Raghoo Sports Bar on the Soesdyke Junction.
Dead is Venezuelan Yocter Eduardo Gonzalez.
Police say that the victim was with his brother and some friends at the bar when the suspect approached the victim and they had a altercation and the suspect dealt the victim a stab to his right side chest which led the victim to fall to the ground. The suspect then made good his escape.
The injured victim was rushed to the Diamond Diagnostic Centre where he was pronounced dead at 12:35hrs by Dr Williams who was on duty at the time.
Quick action by the police led to the suspect being apprehended and placed in custody as investigations continue.
