Police stations must ensure the privacy of a gender-based violence-related crime is
protected, by interviewing the victim in a Victim Friendly Room. Where there are
no designated victim-friendly facilities, alternative arrangements must be made to
ensure the privacy and dignity of the victim.
Clement Henry who is the project manager of the Citizen Security strengthening
programme says that by the end of 2018, 18 victim-friendly police stations will be
completed.
