Following the brutal killing of a young mother, allegedly at the hands of her husband, Leader of the Assembly for Liberty and Prosperity Movement, Simona Broomes, led a peaceful picketing exercise outside the Ministry of Human Services and Social Security.
Broomes and other protesters strongly condemned the system’s failure to protect women from domestic violence, calling for urgent reforms to strengthen policies that safeguard victims and hold perpetrators accountable. Protesters held placards demanding justice for victims and concrete action from the authorities to combat the rising cases of gender-based violence.
