Wanted bulletin issued for man who stabbed Beterverwagting resident to death


Police are looking for a known suspect in relation to the murder that occurred along the Beterverwagting Access Road East Coast Demerara. He has been identified as Llamont Beveney of Beterverwagting. According to the police, on Sunday August 29, the now dead man, Alwyn Eastman and his cousin were walking along the access road when Beveney approached the man and ended up in a scuffle which resulted in him falling into the trench. He later got up and went behind the deceased and dealt him two stab wounds to his upper left side chest and right side abdomen before escaping. Eastman was picked up in a conscious state and taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Checks were made for the suspect but he has proven futile which has resulted in police issuing a wanted bulletin. Investigation in progress.
