Yet another life has been claimed on the roadways of Guyana, as a mother of two was struck down by a car after attempting to cross the road. The accident occurred at Happy Acres on Saturday last.
Joan Williams, 58 years old, was reportedly crossing the roadway when she met her fatal end. She was pronounced dead on arrival at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation. The woman apparently died from the multiple and serious injuries she received as a result. The driver of the vehicle is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
