GPL COMMENCES WORK AT EVERTON FOR POWER SHIP INTEGRATION


The Guyana Power and Light (GPL) is undertaking infrastructural upgrades at its Everton station to facilitate the upcoming integration of a Power Ship. This ship is expected to contribute 36 megawatts of power to the national grid, significantly enhancing electricity supply and reliability. The preparations at the Everton station are critical to ensure the infrastructure is ready to handle the new capacity and optimize the benefits of this significant addition to Guyana’s power resources.
