Labour Ministry investigates BOSAI employee incident

The Ministry of Labour on Sunday announced that investigations have commenced into the death of the BOSAI Minerals Group Inc. employee Kersa Robertson. The 39 year old man died at the Linden Hospital Complex on Sunday morning after his body was engulfed in flames while on duty moments after he arrived at the Republic Avenue, Linden compound. According to the police, a box of Swinger matches and what appeared to be a burnt bottle was found in Robertson’s haversack that was discovered in a small concrete structure in the compound. The man reportedly suffered from third and fourth degree burns to 95% of his body. The Ministry of Labour’s Senior Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Officers Mr. Roydon Croal and Ms. Maxine Bess have been identified to carry out the investigation. In light of the incident, the Honourable Minister of Labour, Mr. Joseph Hamilton, extends his condolences to the bereaved family, friends and co-workers of the deceased.
