On Monday, at Britton Street Plaisance, East Coast Demerara an Officer conducted a search exercise during which a male was seen throwing a yellowish plastic bag over a fence into a yard. The bag was retrieved and checked and it contained several transparent ziplock bags with suspected cannabis.
Police report stated that the man was escorted to the Sparendaam Police Station where the suspected cannabis was weighed, amounting to 218 grams. He remains in custody as investigations continue.
